As our winter season in Florida nears its end we've enjoyed a few kayak rides on the Silver River in Silver Springs State Park near Ocala.

This year I saw more blue herons. Their are a little more skittish than the other birds and usually don't sit for very long when you're pointing a camera and big lens at them.

This guy was very patient though and so I dropped anchor and sat for a while.
