photography is an artColorful fall tundra with a distant view of Mount Denali in the background in Alaska
This blog's cover photo is of Mount Denali with a verse I wrote around 2005 and appeared in the Susquehanna Museum of Harrisburg's show catalog about the same time. I find it true in my case and in many other photographers I have met.

My journey starts with the discovery of a place I want to visit. Then I go into the planning stage learning about the landscape, wildlife, attraction or features that I hope will excite me and produce images that are forming in my head.

Then comes the actual drive to the location. This can take days or weeks and the intensity builds as I take in the changes in landscapes.
