After a while on the road from Yellowstone, WY to PA and from PA to AZ, we're finally settled in Tucson, AZ for the winter working for Far Horizons Resort in Tucson, AZ. Far Horizons is a 55+ community with mostly snowbirds and a lot of perks and activities for the residents. We work in the activities department and are always setting up or taking down for the many different clubs and groups. After a month, it's a great place to live and work.
Tucson is certainly different from Yellowstone. We've gone from two to twelve lane highways and traded bears, bison and thermal features for stores, casinos and shopping plazas. A good point is that a pizza isn't an hour away.
The first photo is us serving up dinner at the welcome back party. Hard work but somebody's gotta do it. Also there are photos of the pool area and the lobby.
The last photo is a Saguaro cactus at sunset in Saguaro Ntl Park, just 8 miles away. So we'll be working on some cactus photos over the season.
See you soon.
